  • Why don’t you give workshops anymore?

    In order to be able to continue to meet the growing demand for our chocolate products and to have sufficient space and time to be fully engaged with the quality and development of (new) chocolate products, we have decided not to give workshops anymore. So on the one hand we go back to the origins of De Bonte Koe; make beautiful chocolate products. On the other hand, we have set our sights on the future; room for focus on quality and innovation.

  • I gave the workshop as a gift to someone else, can the voucher be converted to a regular gift voucher?

    The workshop gift vouchers can also be spent on chocolate in our webshop.

  • Will you ever give workshops again?

    Never say never, but for now we are fully focused on making and developing (new) chocolate products.

  • Can I get my money back?

    We will refund the purchase amount as soon as possible. Have you not received anything after June 11 or do you have another question? Send an e-mail to

  • Is your chocolate gluten free?

    All our bonbons and bars (except for our sugar-free bar) are gluten free. Only our Sinterklaas-kruidnoten are not gluten free.

  • Is your chocolate lactose free?

    Pure chocolate contains little to no milk, but we use the same machines and molds for processing both pure and milk chocolate, so traces of milk can be present in all products.

  • Is your chocolate sustainable?

    We are a member of the Cocoa Horizons Foundation. The Cocoa Horizons Foundation supports farmers with a premoum and education. For more information click here or go to our Sustainability page.

  • What is the expiration date of your chocolate?

    Our solid chocolate has a shelf life of at least 3 months. Fresh fillings are used in bonbons and bouchées that can be kept for up to four weeks.

  • How can our made chocolate best be preserved?

    It is best to keep chocolate outside of the refrigerator to prevent the chocolate getting condensed. One of the characteristics of chocolate is that it quickly absorbs odors and flavors, so it is best to store your chocolate at room temperature, avoid direct sunlight and not in the direct vicinity of, for example, soap products.

  • Do you also have sugar-free chocolate?

    Sugar-free chocolate is available in flavors of milk and pure as bars.

  • What is the cacao percentage in your chocolate?

    Our dark chocolate contains 54.4% cocoa mass, the milk chocolate 30.7% and the white chocolate 26.1%. In addition, we also sell Grand Cru (extra pure) chocolate with 80% cocoa.

  • How can I control the value of my gift voucher?
