This vegan bar with 55% cocoa, caramelized sugar and organic Royal Kombu seaweed, grown in Zeeland, The Netherlands, is developed in collaboration with The Seaweed Company.

The organic cocoa was purchased through Tradin Organic from the Grupo CONACADO coöperative in the Dominican Republic.

Connor Klein, son of Irish founder Carmel Klein-Kelly and currently in charge of De Bonte Koe, is a big fan of the sea. When he’s not working, he’s surfing. It was his dream to develop a bar that reflects his love of chocolate and the waves and to support a surf team in Dakar.
