Persbericht: De Bonte Koe heropent de winkel aan de Nieuwe Binnenweg - De Bonte Koe

Press release: De Bonte Koe reopens the store on the Nieuwe Binnenweg

The De Bonte Koe store at Nieuwe Binnenweg 112 in Rotterdam is closed for major renovations. The store reopens on Thursday, October 5th. Customers can now also enjoy chocolate tastings.

Design agency Ninetynine developed a new brand image for De Bonte Koe, which will be featured on the website and in all other company communications, and will also be incorporated into the store interiors. The new De Bonte Koe website will go live soon. The stores on Lusthofstraat in Rotterdam (Kralingen) and Piet Heinstraat in The Hague (Zeeheldenbuurt) have already been redesigned with the new brand image. The store on Nieuwe Binnenweg will follow suit after its reopening. Furniture maker De zingende zaag from Maassluis is carrying out the renovation and store interior design. The counter where De Bonte Koe's handmade chocolate products are clearly displayed and sold for customers takes up most of the store.

Customers can also enjoy a chocolate tasting on comfortable stools, either at the extension of the counter or at a separate bar table opposite: bonbons or bouchées accompanied by a cup of coffee, tea, or a soft drink. Next to this "chocolate café," behind a transparent glass wall, is the chocolate workshop, where customers can watch a De Bonte Koe chocolatier at work. By combining shopping, tasting, and viewing, customers can better experience De Bonte Koe's artisanal chocolate products and better appreciate the products offered. "We were very well received on Nieuwe Binnenweg three years ago when we opened as a pop-up store. The store has been successful. It's no longer just a pop-up, but a store that has become a fixture on Nieuwe Binnenweg," says Amy Klein, who owns De Bonte Koe together with her brother, Connor Klein. She continues: "This

Part of Nieuwe Binnenweg has undergone a particularly positive development in recent years, becoming a street known for its high-quality food and lifestyle products. You see more and more people strolling through shops like Koekela, Vlaamsch Broodhuys, 'Een bloemetje op tafel' (A flower on the table), Mascolori shoes, and Joline Jolink fashion. Susan Bijl opened her new store a few doors down from ours yesterday, and Ace & Tate eyewear will soon be opening in the same row. De Bonte Koe will officially open its renovated store informally on Thursday, October 5th, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
